Welcome to myevent.mu. The following are the conditions or terms of use (“Terms”) that govern use of the myevent.mu website (“Website”) including information, products, tools, services and articles (“Content”) available on the Website.

The website is an event service provider listing and information service that allows event planners to look for service providers and allows service providers to advertise their services. The Website does not hold or possess ownership of the information being published by service providers. The Website is not a party to any contract made between event planners and service providers that originates on myevent.mu.

USERS & REGISTRATION

Our Services are only available to business entities (“Service Providers”) and individuals (“Event Planners”).

  1. Event PlannersEvent planners are individual users browsing the Website to search for service providers, use our planning tools or read our articles.
  2. Service ProvidersService providers are companies and other third parties offering products and services related to events. These users need to create a business account in order to publish details on the services they offer.

In order to use to certain of our services, you will need to create an account on the Website (“Website Account”). You shall at all times remain fully responsible for all activities that occur through your Website Account.

You agree that the information supplied with your registration is truthful, accurate and complete. All personal information supplied by you as part of the registration process will be protected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to disable any user identification code or password, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these Terms of Use. We reserve the right to restrict access to some parts of or the entire Website to users who have registered with us. We are also entitled to suspend or terminate your membership or access to any part of our site at any time.

You are advised to seek professional advice or make your personal enquiry before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the Content. Service providers must provide true and correct information when creating a business account and publishing an advert. If there is a change in the information provided, service providers must promptly update the information on the Website. Service providers must have a valid business operations licence, as applicable.

By requesting to publish an advert on the Website, you are requesting that your advert appears on myevent.mu. This means that the advert and all Content provided can potentially be viewed by all persons with internet access throughout the world. You consent to the publication of your data in this way.

We shall not be responsible for the content of your advert which you agree is your sole responsibility. Accordingly, you shall be responsible for any losses, expenses or other costs incurred by us caused by an untrue statement or inaccurate or unlawful content.

You agree that any questions and complaints regarding a service advertised in your advert will be your responsibility only and that we do not have any liability in this regard.

We reserve the right to refuse to publish any advert without reason and to classify, edit and delete an advert at our sole discretion. We may at any time remove any or all of the content from the advert which in our opinion are unlawful or are in breach of these Terms of Use.

When posting an advert on myevent.mu, you warrant that:

  1. you have the right to provide the services in the advert;
  2. you will not post information which is likely to deceive any person;
  3. the information contained within the advert is a true and accurate representation of the service offered;
  4. you own the pictures uploaded and there is no copyright on these pictures;
  5. you will not act fraudulently and will deliver the services advertised;
  6. the publication of the advert by us will not breach any contract, infringe any third-party intellectual property rights or other rights; render us liable to any proceedings; and/or cause a detriment to our reputation;
  7. you will not upload any files that contain a virus and/ or corrupted data; and
  8. the advert complies with these Terms of Use.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

All intellectual property and Content on the Website including texts, pictures, trademarks, logos, codes (including but not limited to HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and web design are owned by and reserved to us or service providers (for example photographers who have granted us a license to show their photographs). Except as expressly set out here, nothing in these Terms gives you any rights in respect of any intellectual property owned by us or service providers and you acknowledge that you do not acquire any ownership rights by downloading these Content.

No Content from myevent.mu may be copied, reproduced, republished, posted, uploaded or otherwise duplicated on any other computer, server or website, without our prior written consent.

In respect of any information or pictures which you supply to us ("Materials"), you grant us a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual and royalty free licence to use such Materials for any purpose.
